Meet Dottie

Certified Therapy Dog

Dottie joined MacKenzie's family in 2019 at six weeks old (maybe a little too soon to be away from her own mama!). With her gentle temperament and preference for humans, Dottie made it known she was born to be a therapy dog. While Dottie is a certified Canine Good Citizen and bona fide Good Girl, she is also certified as a therapy dog through Pet Partners, a nationally recognized therapy animal certification organization.

If incorporating Animal Assisted Interventions is something you're interested in, you can let us know if you would like Dottie to be present during in-person appointments (though we cannot guarantee this will always be possible). She is well-trained, safe around all types of humans and animals, and eager to support you during in-person visits.

When she isn't working or training, Dottie loves snuggles, eating peanut butter, and running through prairie grass and snow. She's an expert squirrel and bunny chaser and enjoys playing with her dog brother Theo, who is also a Boxer.
